Have you considered using a Golf Club as a wedding venue?

One of the main reasons couples have been booking golfing venues (apart from the obvious) is the the fact that both ceremony and reception can take place in the one venue and there is usually ample of free parking for all your guests.

Also, golf courses often have an abundance of beautifully landscaped gardens and lakes which make for amazing pictures. The couple and photographer are able to do the picture without having to be whisked off away from your guests for hours on end. Actually your guest can be drinking to your happiness and enjoying canapes whist watching the bridal party have their pictures taken from afar.

We asked Angela Drawbridge from Monash Country Club on Sydney's Northern Beaches what she thought was the biggest pro for using a Golf Course for a wedding reception.

"In my experience and I am from a hotel background, the biggest pro is that country clubs or golf clubs do not open to the public for dinner, therefore you are not competing with the a la carte restaurant, room service and other food outlets for floor and kitchen staff at the same time. Your function is the only function taking place and the chef and staff are focussing on your guests!".

A few things to remember if considering a golf course venue are : there can be time restrictions for ceremonies and photos on the course due to the golfers and there is usually no accommodation for your guests.
