Duart Homestead
Duart Homestead has a reputation for quality food and friendly service. No matter what you have in mind, our sit down or stand up gourmet buffet options can be adapted to suit your personal tastes and needs. We offer larger reception room and more intimate restaurant options as well as outdoor catering, for conferences, business meetings and special occasions.
Duart is a Victorian homestead, built in 1883 as the Maffra home of Hon Allan McLean, a local business man who was to become Premier of Victoria in 1899 and in 1901 Gippslands first Federal representative. The home was named after Duart Castle in Scotland, the seat of the clan McLean. It remained in the family until 1978.
Today Duart is still the charming homestead of yesteryear, renovated and converted into reception rooms which tastefully enhance the Victorian style building.
