Tynwald Willow Bend Estate

This is one of Tasmanias foremost mansions, built in 1830, with an extensive history.
Were just 30 minutes from Hobart, with a scenic drive all the way beside the River four hours from Tasmanias West Coast New Norfolk is one of Tasmanias earliest towns with convict heritage Our licensed restaurant is open for dinner every night Accommodation starts from just $135 per night for a couple, including a full breakfast. We have TWO spa rooms ... and a secluded HONEYMOON cottage.

Tynwald sits on 40 riverfront acres, and was built early in 1830 by John and Martha Terry as a celebration of success in the flour milling industry. Much of its Victorian charm comes from a later owner the politician William Moore in the 1890?s. He added the central tower, the lacework verandas and wide bay windows over-looking the views and garden.

The wide, slow river, the red cliffs on the far side of the Derwent Valley, the mountains all around, the peacocks strutting in the English gardens its almost too much for the camera, the canvas or the casual glance.
