A touch of romance in a rural setting on 15 acres, yet just 25 minutes from the city with two function rooms in separate buildings. Firstly the glass-roofed Atrium, which is all fairy lit at night, has views of the gardens, lawns, vineyard and surrounding hills, while Restaurant 1912 is closer to the lake and has similar garden and bushland views. There are two tranquil outdoor ceremony areas, The Terrace and the Lakehouse & Deck ,plus the Scottish Room for indoor ceremonies.

Riverlea is set on 15 acres situated just 30 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD (and only 10 minutes from the end of the Eastern Freeway) in the picturesque Yarra Valley wine region and is the closest vineyard/restaurant/reception centre to the city, being less than 5km from Eastland shopping centre in Ringwood. The venue features several separate function/dining areas in three separate buildings on site. Firstly there is “The Atrium”, with its stunning glass roof that is fairy-lit at night, and with its adjoining dance-floor room looking out onto the vineyard thru several sets of glass doors.
“The Atrium” is ideal for medium to reasonably large Wedding Receptions. Secondly there is “Restaurant 1912”, which is also available for smaller, more intimate Wedding Receptions (full 3 course “sit down” Receptions for 40 guests and under, or “cocktail party/buffet style” Receptions for up to 70 guests) both with DJ and dancing in the Cellar, while the third building, “The Lakehouse and Deck , is frequently used for the actual Wedding Ceremony and/or as a pre-dinner drinks area.
Outside the restaurant are sweeping lawns leading down to the picturesque lake with its ducks and flowering water lilies, plus there is also a large paved area with a pergola over part of it and 6 HUGE market umbrellas for shade. This area is known as “The Terrace”, and with its surrounding lawns and garden beds, it is ideal for both the Ceremony and pre-dinner drinks in warmer months while “The Clan Room” with its old world Scottish charm, its views of the vineyard and huge fireplace is used for the Ceremony and pre-dinner drinks in the cooler months.
Wedding Night accommodation is available in our two separate 5 star bed and breakfast suites “The Irish Suite” and “The French Suite”, both complete with spa, which are situated on the first floor of the Restaurant building. Both suites have balconies offering panoramic views of Riverlea and its lawns and gardens, and surrounding hills. Use of one of our B&B suites (including a hearty cooked breakfast and midday checkout time) is provided FREE OF CHARGE for all Wedding Receptions of 50 guests or more.
